Parents Title

Maybe you are a two-parent household with two outside jobs to juggle while you do your best to support your children’s interests and activities, as well as monitor their homework. Maybe you are a single parent struggling to fit it all in: work, caring for the home, arranging care for your children, and of course supporting them in their schoolwork. You might even have a spouse at home to care for the household and help the kids after school. It is hard to find time to do everything you would like for your child.

Do you often feel that you don’t have enough time to teach your own child right from wrong? Maybe you are quick to correct misbehavior, or you manage to compliment your child here and there when he has done a good job, but you feel something is missing as far as molding your child into an all-around quality individual. Perhaps your child is floundering, and even though she has several interests, she isn’t taking the time or energy to improve or set goals for herself. Maybe you have a family of the non-traditional sort, or you struggle with keeping your family afloat and must spend a lot of time at work. You may wonder if you are doing all you can to teach values and life lessons that can make an essential difference at this age.

Do you feel that your child’s school isn’t doing enough to teach your child the values of being a good citizen? Maybe academic pressures at the school and political level have squeezed out those enrichment programs and efforts at the classroom level and your child is missing out. Recent cuts in schools include charity concerts for older folks in homes, pen pal writing with armed forces personnel or students in foreign countries, mock debate trials, art instruction, Big Buddy systems with upper grades and kindergarteners, to name just a few. Many of these used to stretched their minds and provide an excellent exposure to different walks of life. Many of these kinds of activities have been students’ favorite memories of school.

Some things we can’t change. Jobs must be worked, homework must be done, and fun times in after-school activities or even just down time is essential to childhood as well. But when there is a need or desire for more direction in introducing your children to a quality self-improvement program, we welcome you to “Chart Your Course!”

“Chart Your Course!” is a self-leadership program unlike any before offered to kids as they approach the middle school years and stretch into high school. This is a critical time for giving them leadership skills as they begin to navigate the increasingly complex social and academic world of middle school and high school. The program pivots on its cornerstone novel for young adults, An Unexpected Gift. Its goal and function is to teach students an easy-to-learn system for setting and accomplishing goals, becoming a responsible and caring person, and directing their lives in a way that is rewarding and fulfilling for each of them.

All this is impressed upon the reader while they are engrossed in a gripping novel of character-driven mystery and intrigue. Kids buy into the idea by getting involved in the story. After reading – or even while in the middle of the book – the added DVD components and accompanying workbook start the student to turn inward and discover their own answers on where they want to go in life, what steps are necessary to get there, and what kind of character they want and must develop in order to succeed in life.

“Chart Your Course!” uses an easy-to-remember theme with symbols in order to make it easy for students to remember the key ideas and concepts in becoming successful. With “Chart Your Course!,” students will achieve more, become more confident, and learn the values that create an outstanding person.

We invite you to put the odds in your favor and introduce your child to “Chart Your Course!”. Amazing things may begin to unfold right before your eyes!

Although the course was designed for students, realize that we are students of life as well. If you are seeking balance in your life or are having trouble prioritizing what is most important to you, Chart Your Course! is available for you as well. Better yet, take the course with your son or daughter.
